The University of Lorestan in Khorramabad, west of Iran, will host the Quranic event.
Ali Nazari, president of Lorestan University, said at a press conference on Tuesday that the competition will be attended by some 400 students from over 100 universities and academic centers.
They will compete in different categories, including Quran recitation, Quran memorization and Quranic concepts.
Last year, the University of Qom hosted the 36th edition of the event, which had competitions in 40 categories in 9 sections.
The festival is annually organized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology with the aim of promoting the Quranic teachings among university students.
